Success Story - Zharkent starch and syrup plant

The company is engaged in the production of starch and starch products.

The main areas of the plant:

• production of starch and starch products,
• growing grain and leguminous crops, including seed production.

Manufactured products:

• native corn starch,
• natural sugar substitutes (molasses/syrups),
• glucose-fructose syrups,
• animal feed.

Starch molasses produced at the plant has low viscosity and color, thanks to innovative processing methods without the use of synthetic additives. The products are environmentally friendly and in demand in the food, confectionery, textile, paper industries, as well as in the production of building materials.

In 2023, the capacity of the plant for processing grain and corn is 150 thousand tons.

The plant produces 75 thousand tons of corn syrup per year and 28 types of products with deep processing of 120 thousand tons of corn per year.

In 2023, the plant accepted 80 thousand tons of corn for processing, in 2024 the enterprise is ready to accept 100 thousand tons of corn. As of October 2024, the plant has already accepted 40 thousand tons for processing.

The plant's company exports about 45% of the produced volume to Turkey, Uzbekistan, China, Russia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
