According to preliminary data for January-September 2024, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 99,066.9 million USA dollars and decreased by 13.3% compared to January-September 2023, including exports - 54,832.9 million US dollars (25.2% less), imports - 44,234.0 million US dollars (8.0% more).

The volume of industrial production in January-October 2024 amounted to 278,848.4 million tenge in current prices, which is 3.9% more than in January-October 2023.
In the mining industry, production volumes increased by 22.6%, in the manufacturing industry they grew by 3.7%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning they fell by 0.2%, in water supply, waste collection, processing and disposal, pollution elimination activities they grew by 9.3%.

In the mining industry, production volumes increased by 22.6%, in the manufacturing industry they increased by 3.7%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning they fell by 0.2%, in water supply, waste collection, processing and disposal, pollution elimination activities they increased by 9.3%.
The share of the manufacturing sector is 79.9%. In the manufacturing industry, the volume of production of food products, electrical equipment, finished metal products, mineral products, and light industry goods increased. During 2023, 14 new and five existing production facilities were commissioned. This contributed to the creation of new jobs, especially in the settlements where the enterprises are located. Favorable conditions for investors are also being created in the region. At the moment, an investment portfolio has been formed containing 173 projects, the total volume of which is 3.2 trillion tenge. Over 11 thousand jobs will be created. These projects are to be implemented from 2024 to 2030 in different areas of the region, including in Alakol, where three very large enterprises are planned to be built.
Overall, the communications sector increased by 6.3%, making it one of the important drivers of economic growth. The main factors in the growth of the industry are the active introduction of digital technologies, the expansion of communications networks and the increased demand for Internet services from businesses and the population. The development of infrastructure for mobile communications and the Internet also plays an important role, especially in remote and previously inaccessible regions.
